Welcome
We're a charity which wants to support you and your family in the good times, and the tough times, too - bringing you hope, compassion, help and encouragement.
It made me think more responsibly about my children in terms of being more caring and listening, rather than being judgmental and forming pre-conceived ideas.

Looking to the future
Have you been meaning to get around to drawing up your will, or maybe updating it to reflect new circumstances?
During September, nine law firms are offering a discount of at least 10% to Care for the Family supporters who wish to write a will. There’s no obligation to include a gift to charity in your will...
Your child and eating disorders
Care for the Family stands by parents in any difficulties they face. Dr Kate Middleton gives real-life accounts and offers some insight into anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa - two aspects of eating disorders that are a growing and worrying concern among young people and adults.
Changing communities - one family at a time
“There are two types of parent,” says Jan Burn, who runs Care for the Family’s How to Drug Proof Your Kids® (DPYK) course in schools in Gloucester. “Some parents assume their kids will never come into contact with drugs. The others assume ‘experimenting’, or even addiction, is inevitable.”
