DescriptionDescription  Wonderful recipe from my (very) old school cookbook!
InstructionsInstructions  Sieve together the dry ingredients. Melt the margarine, sugar and syrup into the milk. Mix it all together with egg. Pour the mixture into a cake tin, and bake at Gas 2 for 1 - 1 1/4 hrs Cool in the tin for a short while before turning it out.
NotesNotes  The taste and texture improve if it's wrapped and kept for up to a week.
