InstructionsInstructions  Cube some lean pork. Brown it in a little hot oil in a frying pan, drain and add to the slow cooker. Slice some onions, sear them in hot oil in the frying pan, drain them and add to the slow cooker. Finely chop several cloves of garlic and some celery. Add them to the frying pan and cook gently for a minute or two. To the garlic, add a can of chopped tomatoes, a good measure of tomato puree, some soy sauce and a teaspoon of ginger. Bring up to temperature and add to the slow cooker. Cook until the meat is tender (6-8 hours on high; 10-12 hours on low; 1 - 2 hours in the oven at gas mark 2 - add a little water to the sauce if oven cooking).
NotesNotes  Serve with rice.
