A Cafe-Community for Teenagers |

What do you do when you've tried all the traditional forms of youth
work, but none of them quite seem to connect with the young people you're hoping
to reach? A group of Christians from the Linden Church in Swansea
came up with an innovative idea - a Christian community based around a seafront
cafe. Peter Mannion, a volunteer with the project, talks to ChristianMums

children, doesn't it? If this is what you think Graham and Jenny Marshall
would be quick to disillusion you. They have been foster parents in Slough
for the past twelve years, and have found it full of difficult situations and
hard decisions, as well as huge rewards. At it's worst, Graham ended up locked
in a police cell...

Punk Band, Cephas, talk to Christian Mums |

Cephas are a Christian Punk Band. If you went to Greenbelt last year
then you may have heard them. They play in both Christian and secular
venues around the UK and are based in Staines. As well as through gigs, they keep in contact with their fans through a thriving message board on their website. Individually they are John,
Ray, Andy and Adam. All four are committed Christians who want to tell
people about Jesus, through their music. They look scary and sound mean
on stage, but in person they are pleasant, articulate and have rather disconcerting
Home Counties accents.
