Which Bible study notes do you use?
I use New Daylight (four months of bible readings comments and prayers)
Who publishes them?
They are published by the Bible Reading Fellowship
Are they dated or just for non-specific days?
They are dated but you can read straight through if you wish.
How much do they cost?
They cost £3.35 for each book, which covers four months.
How is each day set out? For instance, does each day have a passage printed out, a prayer, a poem, a reflection?
Each day is set out as a printed passage (with the reference so you can
go and read the whole section from your bible if you wish) then there
is a commentary about the passage, then this is followed by either a
prayer or a reflection.
What do you like about them?
I like that they are so easy to read, you can easily find time to sit
and read and to digest what it is saying to you. I really like this
book because you can fit it in during the hecticness of the day. I home
ed my two kids and don't get much time to myself until they have gone
to bed, so this allows me to spend some time with God at the very
beginning of the day rather than just the very end.
What would you change about them if anything?
I wouldn't change anything.
How long do you generally spend with them each day?
I generally spend about 20 minutes when I first get up first reading then thinking about what the passage meant to me.
