My First Easter Sticker Book by Saly Ann Wright
What's it about?
This is the story of Easter retold in simple, yet interesting language for the
very young. Each page has a huge picture needing the main components adding in
sticker form.
What did you like about it?
I love the fact that adding the stickers will help the child to remember the
story better. I also love the style the story is told in and the illustrations
are great. Once the stickers are added this will remain a much-loved storybook.
What didn't you like?
Nothing.
What will you still remember a year from now?
Well, a year from now it will be Easter again and time to revisit the story
with my little ones. It’s always good to revisit the truth of Easter and not
just get excited about chocolate eggs!
Who would you recommend this book to?
Anyone with children under the age of about eight, anyone who knows children of
that age, any grandparents, godparents, children’s workers and crèche leaders.
Can you give us a couple of good quotes from the book?
As Jesus approached the city gates, people were waiting. They couldn’t wait to
greet him! Some cut down palm branches and waved them. Others put their cloaks
in front of the donkey to make a soft path. ‘Hooray for Jesus!’ they all
shouted. ‘Here comes our King!’
‘Mary!’ he said. And all at once Mary knew who it was! This
was Jesus, aive and real! ‘I am alive,’ Jesus told her. ‘Go and tell my friends
so that they can be happy too
