Newspaper Caper by Max Elliot Anderson Print E-mail

A review by Hilary's eldest son (9) of Newspaper Caper by Max Elliot Anderson, published by Tweener Press.

What is this book about?

The book was about three friends who are always there for each other. The main thing about the story was that cars kept on being stolen and they found out who was doing it.

What did you like about it?

I really like the characters in the story but most of all I really wanted to know what happened next.

Is there anything you didn't like about it?

There wasn't really anything I didn't like because it was such a great story.

Do you think other people should buy and read this story?

Yes, I think almost anyone would like this story.

The mother's view

My eldest son isn't always the most enthusiastic reader, though he is very good at it, but when he picked up this book he sped through it and was so excited by it. He had finished it in two days. He kept coming to tell me how good it was. Max Elliot Anderson writes for children between about 8 and 13, primarily boys, as he sees how reluctant boys can be and how little there is on the market for this age group which isn't aimed at girls. He not only writes books but is involved in the Christian film industry. If you can't find anything suitable for your children of this age, if other books seem a bit too gritty and 'old' then do give these books a try. Anderson has written numerous books to keep our young people busy for a good while yet. My son can't wait to start on the next one!
