What was your first impression?
This book is colourful, attractive and appealing. It is full of
full-page nativity scenes requiring the addition of stickers of
characters and animals. The centre page is bursting with stickers of
all sizes. The story is in easy to read, clear text.
What's it about?
The story of Jesus’ birth is told in this sticker book and, once the
stickers are in place, it will be a beautiful storybook which children
will want to keep and read again and again. It is a warm retelling,
very readable.
What did you like about it?
I love the illustrations. The stickers are great. I love the way it
won’t be a sticker book to do in a hurry and then discard; it will be a
book to be treasured.
What didn't you like?
Nothing.
What will you still remember a year from now?
I will remember these beautiful drawings and I will remember what a good present it would be for my godchildren.
Who would you recommend this book to?
I would recommend this book to anyone with young children or
grandchildren. Also to people buying presents for groups e.g. Sunday
school groups as this would be a good and reasonably priced Christmas
gift.
Can you give us a couple of good quotes from the book?
‘There is no room in the inn,’ the innkeeper explained. ‘The stable is
full of my animals, but if there is nowhere else…You are welcome to
stay here tonight.’
They found them, just as the angels had said, with the baby Jesus, King
of Kings, Saviour of the world, lying in the manger. And in their heads
they heard the sound of the song the angels had sung: ‘Glory to God in
the highest, And peace to all people below!’
