... italian chicken casserole, to serve 6.

Onions fried in a little oil and garlic, chicken breast chunks tossed in and browned.

Today i also had a courgette and a pepper which I chopped and threw in the the browning pot.

Added three tins of chopped toms, some salt and pepper and a little oregano and plenty of basil and cooked slowly in a moderate oven.

I shall serve with tagliatelle because that's what we happen to have int' cupboard. And plenty of parmesan.

That sounds tasty EM. Dipsy and Mr Dipsy, happy anniversary

We'll all be eating just exactly what we fancy - shortly off out for a pub meal, because aslan is going away to study again tomorrow (suddenly ie since yesterday) his plans to do a masters degree next year have been brought forwards a year, and he goes tomorrow!

My lot love smash. I always add too much salt, though. I'm a bit Rick Stein when it comes to heavy handed saltiness, but I'm getting better...

Nice.

We went to Brewers fayre (our local 'spoons doesn't fulfil my criteria for an eatery - the food isn't good  ). Unusually for me I had a sort of burger but actually it was grilled chicken breast with bacon, lettuce and toms inside the bread bun and coleslaw on the side. Yummy. And the best treacle tart I've EVER eaten, for afters!

I am out for a Chinese meal this evening, one of those order as many dishes as you like for a set price deals, fatal. I may well snack lunch more healthily at the gym too as I'm going with a friend today.
Mum to 3 adult children in their 20's and Nana to an adorable 2 year old granddaughter. Also Mum to a nutty Golden Retriever and 2 lovely but independent felines.

Life is often a daily struggle but thanks to friends and the Sams I muddle through.

Utter disaster here - I had planned burgers with all the trimmings. But Dd1 had a meal to go, Dd3 had a disco, Dd2 had youth club, Ds had Boy's Brigade, all at different times, and Dh helps at the youth club until 10. No time to faff about with trimmings, so it's been a bog standard nuggets and waffles. Boring as, and not very tasty or nutritious. Meh.

The kids had pizza and dh and I had venison sausages with chippy chips. Bit like EM in that I had bubba to get to and pick up from contact, dd2 to collect from week away, ds3 to collect later from his week away, dh home late as usual and dd2s birthday present opening to fit in there too!

I'm on Aslan's side even if there isn't any Aslan to lead it. I'm going to live as like a Narnian as I can even if there isn't any Narnia. [Puddleglum]
