It's half term here. So today's excitement is tidying and sorting which I've not had time to do for too long. Think ds will go to nursery for some social time and fun!

I might further extend the excitement with more laundry too!

It'll be lovely to spend time with dd too I'm sure Ju

I'm totally blotto after a terrible night's sleep; if sleep is what you call it. I might leave my co-leader to run the craft group today as atm I'm unsure I could maintain a conversation. My GP has suggested I black out my exercise/therapy room with cardboard over the window until I can get the blind up, then I can use my sensory projector in there which will be good. My GP always comes up with the ideas!

On the way home after a fantastic holiday in Mexico. Saw my sister's spider monkeys, got freaked out by a howler monkey calling right above me, swam in a beautiful lagooon & in gorgeous tropical sea, swam with turtles, climbed Mayan ruins, met my brother in law & danced to his live band, enjoyed the floaty tour (wear a life jacket like a nappy & float round mangroves looking at wildlife) and saw two manatees :)

:thumbs-up:

What is a sensory projector?
Lazy day planned here as it is family day, so off work. Dh has his aunt and uncle coming for lunch with us, it will be good to catch up as we do not see much of them since they are always working.

God is good all the time...all the time God is good!

I can't find out how to find the links to YouTube videos now but if you type in Mathmos projector you should find videos of them. The one in hospital had no sound, no idea if the one I have does or not until I set it up. It's very calming, excellent for when you're stressed, I watched one for hours in the sensory room when I was in hospital.

Eta I found this on the mathmos site http://www.mathmos.c...a_s_violet_blue

Thanks dipsy, excellent link. I was very distressed in hospital so I was placed in the sensory room, within 5 minutes I was calm and about 20 minutes later I couldn't have been more relaxed. I find evenings awful every day and in bad times the distress is hard to handle so I've been on the look out for a second hand mathmos since my discharge. My GP and I hope it will really help me in the evenings. Much healthier than diazepam.
