I was served gnocchi 20 years ago and hated the texture of it. As a result I never cooked it. A few months ago we were given a meal by someone at church and it was accompanied by gnocchi. I read up how to cook the gnocchi and discovered it could be fried rather than boiled and dd1 and I loved it.

So do you cook gnocchi and if so - what do you serve it with? Wanting some ideas please.

We have it in the caravan sometimes and I occasionally buy it for DS2 - not sure if it's proper gnocchi though, we get it in air-tight packs from the chilled section in Morrison's.
We've just used it as an alternative to pasta with a tomato based sauce and sometimes cheese.

We fry it off ... DD2 likes it in place of roast potato as a change! Not my favourite though.

(I had to google what it was :unsure: - It's not gluten free, so where the children might like it, I can't eat it :( )

I love gnocchi, but don't fry it. We went to dinner once where the hostess made it from scratch so effortlessly. It was delicious.

It's good tossed in pesto and put under the grill with some parmesan and a lemony green salad on the side.
