So what's your opinion on the great Easter egg hunt controversy? The Archbishop of York is very cross that Cadbury and the National Trust have been pushing the Cadbury brand name over the word Easter, despite the fact that Easter still appears on egg boxes and other places like websites.

Important spiritual issue of fair representation or a big fuss over nothing?

I think there is an important issue at the base of this.   Having lived for many years in a multi-cultural area, my neighbours were all delighted to acknowledge the importance of our Christian festivals and sad that so many British people didn't.   My feeling is that, as a nation, we have become ashamed of what we believe in and much too afraid of causing offence.

Having said that, Easter eggs seem to be one of the least Christian parts of Easter!!!
