The reading on Sunday was of the two sons, not the prodigal and the older brother, but the one who said he would do something and didn't follow through, and one who said he wouldn't do it, and eventually did.

Got me to thinking about Peter, full of bravado, announcing to Jesus that he would follow Him wherever and then denying him.

But conversly, denying him and then eventually dying for Him.

I guess my thinking is along the lines of that we can all be *both* sons.

Which one are you right now, if you had to be honest?

Probably the one who says "I will" but doesn't, though there's a bot of the other in me too.   It's my prayer life that lets me down.

Arrow prayers are not too hard but consistent prayer is, especially thanking and praising!
