Kristie3 - hope you're recovering from such an emotional ordeal - praise the Lord indeed for those ladies being able to act so swiftly.

Great to meet you - why not nip into this thread, Hello I'm new and introduce yourself? So pleased you've found CMs, hope you soon settle in and work out how to do things.

Thank you God the ds does not need further surgery at the moment.

I have just heard from dh and the consultant has said that he will not operate for at least another 2 years. He thinks that most of the pain is muscular (because ds's legs are so twisted) and suggests that he tries to exercise more to build up the muscles and then maybe some of the pain will go. Very hard to exercise to the point that you know you're going to be in so much pain but we will pray that ds can manage to do it.

Oh I'm so pleased he doesn't need surgery yet, Geraldine!

Thank you, Jesus, that geraldine's son doesn't need surgery yet. Please help him to get his exercise right so it improves his condition. AMEN

Welcome Kristie3, so glad your son is OK, that must have been terrifying!

Small things, but are big for me!

I really struggle with being in unfamiliar social situations and crowded places.

Recently, I've had coffee with two different groups of people in public places, been into town a few times and even went to a shopping centre today!

I've struggled with them all, but I've done it!

As posted on 'please pray for my friend', prayers have worked for S! He has to be antibiotics for another three weeks and back at the hospital in six but things are looking good so far.

And I prayed out loud for Ames this morning in our ladies group - its something I hate doing but God was shouting down my ear telling me to get on with it, so I did!

Both lovely to hear, cutypops. It's good when God challenges us to step outside of our comfort zone, especially when that is in prayer for a friend in need. :533:

DH and I went back to Moorfields yesterday - hoping for good news. the news was great - his intraocular pressures have now stabilised against all odds and talk of another op has just disappeared. News is still sinking in, but it is SOOOOOOOOO good. We are going back the week before our holiday, so return in 4 weeks, just to check all i still well before we go, but they don't think there will be anyhting to worry about. He's still taking a lot of meds, but that is all ok.
