dd is still full of cold, blocked sinuses making her feel lousy, very sore throat now and chesty cough and is obviously feeling very rough. She has an exam this afternoon, one tomorrow, one Thursday and one Friday so very intensive. As you can imagine her having had this intensive year at this school and finding the funding for it all, only for her to be struggling so much with her health in such a crucial week is worrying. Please pray that she manages to do her best or what she is capable of despite her illness, thank you.
Mum to 3 adult children in their 20's and Nana to an adorable 2 year old granddaughter. Also Mum to a nutty Golden Retriever and 2 lovely but independent felines.

Life is often a daily struggle but thanks to friends and the Sams I muddle through.

BBHG, I suggest you ask for a doctor's letter, explaining her symptons, etc.

Praying for all doing exams:

Lord these young people need your help.
They need calm minds; grant them your peace.
They need a clear head; grant the your wisdom.
They need a careful spirit; grant them you patience.
They need inspiration; grant them your enthusiasm.
Keep them from all panic as they put their trust in your power to help and keep them in these days of their exams. Amen

dd has her final exam tomorrow morning. It's big in that this subject is mostly coursework but has the one exam, and its a double GCSE so this exam is crucial to her final grade. Please pray that she does her very best and uses her own personal knowledge and common sense (not sure the teaching has been that great on this subject, new teacher etc., but she has her own knowledge and experience she could use if her speech and language problems allow her to utilise that and get it down on paper) to complete this paper well and pass. Thank you.

Thank God they're over!

dd thinks she failed health and social care. The big essay question worth 80% of the paper was to explain the informal support available for people going through a divorce. The subject of divorce had never been mentioned in her lessons so she was spouting off the top of her head, church, friends, family etc. but she knows that as its 80% of the paper doesn't feel what she came up with could come close to that. Kind of stuffed by the teaching on this one I think. And it was a big ask doing a double GCSE in one year anyway. It remains to be seen now whether she will be allowed to do the level 3 course at college if she doesn't get a C in this exam.
