Praying this prayer for and your place of work you suenig...

Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -
by the Divine Power of God -
cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Lord, we pray you will shine your light on that home. We pray the evil one will have no hold or influence on that place, or on the people who live there: protect them we pray. Protect and reassure the staff who work there: may that home be a place of peace, love, friendship and comfort for those who live and work there. Shine your light Lord, and banish the darkness, we pray. Amen

Amen xx

just back from work priest has been and walked round fr a bit and then said he would need to consult "an expert in this field" and would be back he said there is something he's just not sure enough of how best to deal with the situation, the sale of crosses from the local argos has gone up almost everyone has one now and its giving me some good oppurtunities to witness but it needs to be sorted soon before it affects the tenents so far only 3 or 4 have seen anything but some have quite severe mental health problems and even getting the idea of spirits in the building could be bad for them
thanks for prayers today will update when i have more news

Lord God, please bring Catherine your peace and help her to work effectively for the best for her pupils and to cope with OFSTED if they arrive.

As a teacher

OFSTED  :icon_twisted: :icon_twisted: :icon_twisted: :icon_evil: :icon_evil: :icon_evil: :icon_evil: :icon_evil:

Well, I can't do any more now but I've had two really good days in my classroom sorting and getting things ready. All the furniture is piled up in the corridoor ready for carpet fitters who come on Mon - all being well I can move stuff in - with help from Head and others - on Mon pm - otherwise, me and my Year Twos will be in the hall for the day on Tuesday! But, I feel peaceful and ready for whatever the week brings. The classroom feels like mine now so I'm looking forward to getting on with it all.

A smaller prayer request, is that I have three Strict Brethren children in my class this year so I would be glad of prayers for good communication with the parents so that potential issues can be worked through together.

Thank you!

Dear Lord, please enable the parents of the three bretheren children to recognise Catherine a s afellow Christian and may they develop a really good relationship so that if there are any problems with curriculum or anything else within the school/classroom they turn to Catherine for support and understanding. Thankyou for your prayers.

I don't have a classroom until the end of tomorrow because the carpet can't go in till then so I will be spending the day in the ICT suite with my class instead - not ideal but we will manage. Hoping that we don't get wet playtimes though as that will complicate things a bit!

One of the places I am a chaplain is having to make people redundant this week because the council has cut their funding so much. Also lots of contracts are going to others who won't provide such a good service (ie they will go through underqualfied interpreters for communication rather than use people who are either Deaf themselves or properly qualified interpreters), which are cheaper, so everyone is worried about the vulnerable clients actually suffering from it. Not good all round. I know they aren't the only place to be struggling like this either - and this means the centres themselves are not sure how they are going to survive - the contracts help keep the building going so they are available for community use Posted Image.
Please pray that I might be able to be there in some way for the staff affected - most of them see me as a service provider to the clients and not relevant to them.

Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength

they shall rise upon wings as eagles

they shall run and not be weary

they shall walk and not faint

help us Lord, help us Lord in your way
