Well, as someone who has got very angry indeed, as I do each time things like this happen, I can only say it is possible to pray for peace and be cross about things. Blame is of course primarily belonging to the perpetrators, but there is still a small portion reserved for those whose policies under funded police and mental health services to name but a few things. I'm sorry to sound political, I'm really not being, this has gone on for years. And it's not right. I applaud our services, they do an amazing job considering. It's precisely because I do support them that I want everyone adequately resourced.

It's my job to pray as a Christian. It's also my job to hold those in power to account.

Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.

Colossians 2:7New Living Translation (NLT)

Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.

In terms of where I live, quite some way away, but I work in London Bridge. I don't yet know if work will be open tomorrow - our offices are next to the Cathedral, which is shut today.

So I'm not in danger, but it feels incredibly close to home IYSWIM

So close to home ds1 works in central London normally but yesterday he was doing an early shift in another branch thank goodness or he may have been caught up on his way home. Ds2 had been going to go into London with his friends but decided against it. We are only a 20 min drive away just over 3 miles. :( praying for all involved

Apparently Ticketmaster have closed all their phone lines due to people wanting refunds for concert tickets, no longer feeling safe to go.
Mum to 3 adult children in their 20's and Nana to an adorable 2 year old granddaughter. Also Mum to a nutty Golden Retriever and 2 lovely but independent felines.

Life is often a daily struggle but thanks to friends and the Sams I muddle through.

Yes it was after the Manchester attack. They've no date to reopen them. Dd accidently gave them a misspelled email address so has no receipt for her concert ticket. They are being posted out so she should receive them fine but she's nervous not having a receipt of purchase and no way of contacting ticketmaster.
